As nice as repair stands are, i dont justify the need for one.

It's fairly rare i need to do much to any of the bikes ive got as they generally stay the same.

BUT, I needed to adjust both the front + rear mechs on the lts and after getting frustrated riding round + trying to adjust at the same time, it dawned on me!

All you need is:!

One large piece of rope and one garage with wooden beams! = happy times!

So I'm not the only one then :) I did once work out a way to clamp the bike upside down in a Workmate but tried it recently and couldn't get it to sit right.

lol. glad to see im not alone either!

to be honest, it worked a treat. Only downside is having to crouch a bit. As long as you keep the front wheel on the floor you're not risking too much!

what a pikey i am

"Mrs walks into the garage and sees rope thrown over a beam... "

only be worried if you go back to it and shes tied it into a noose for you  :?

its my old mans garage, its a right shite hole! He's got racking full of crap, then old boxes, a tumble dryer, a host of garden equipment and a BBQ. 3 bikes oh and a bloody great big motorbike.

makes things difficult :(

the loft space is rammed full o shite too.
