we like retro bikes but what else..

Actually you would be suprised. Such a small engine has low torque numbers but with even the very biggest turbo you will be almost lag free as the wankel spools up the turbo quicker than any other type of engine. I had a Supra before which was a lovely car but cumbersome and slow in corners in comparison. I would tell everyone to try one as they are so unique. Mine sounds like a fly by from a Spitfire and could likely pull over 1g of lateral force as i have greatly modified the suspension but even in standard Type R form its bloody stif. There are very few cars that will make you smile like the RX7 but you wont like it if you are a couple of inches over 6ft. I am bang on and a big lad and its tight and i changed the seats several times to get the best position. In the end i had to set the seat rails back an inch(ish).

Its likely to be the best time to get one as i can imagine they are not the most desirable car with petrol prices as they have been so i think you could find a cheap minty one!!

nice car there does seem to be a correlation... i was into cars in my late teens... had a few cars, cant be assed now tho... got a late escort zetec now and its good, cheap to run with my contacts paid £600 for it with 82k and it's breezed thru 2 MOTs now done 108k. i drive 50mile round trip to work every day - my boss gives me £45 a week for fuel and my dad pays for all my running costs money well spent

I cant drive ,if i could id buy one of these
I suppose its maybe not retro but vintage old England i remember from the village i was born in and where i spent my early years

For me its vinyl records; old hi-fi (for sale: unmarked late 1980's NAD 3130 amp £70 posted); vintage Jap motorcycles ('80 Yam XS650 +retro styled '01 Kawasaki W650 in the garage.) Also 1950's American cars.
Don't like: digital music formats; sports bikes; crappy "custom" cars with loud exhausts & spoilers. Ultra low profile tyres on large diameter bling wheels. Probly an age thing. Or taste.
