I'd still question that as the arms are different to Juliets, they are a different thickness and don't have the logo at the point where the arm meets the frame (it's an intergral part of the arm, not something that can fall off) the nose piece is different as is the bottom inside piece of frame where it joins the nose piece, this one flares out where as the juliet is far thinner with no flare. Juliets haven't changed since they were introduced so that points away from the Juliets in my opinion (and I've owned a set of x-metals, and Juliets and Romeos).
Did your mate say where he got them from? Oakley did do some market specific models so maybe that explains the differences.
