First Post - How old is my bike?

I've just bought this tidy M-Trax off Gumtree, can anyone tell me what year it's from, my guess is 98 but I'm not sure.
Sorry about the cushions.

Welcome - nice looking Raleigh

I've tried google but it isn't helping much...

What might help is taking a close look at the components as they may be date stamped. Or wait patiently for someone with much more Raleigh knowledge than me to come along..............

V brakes only came out in 1996 but were high end initially. So it's got to be 1997 or later. What about the frame number? Someone must have a list on the forum???
