Got out of work a bit sharpish, so grabbed a few moments in the workshop to build up the shox and sort out the cockpit… All came up well and I flipped the bars so that the less damaged /sun bleached side was uppermost, the Tioga clear grips are looking much better than I’d hoped and the XT brifters look almost new with some sprucing up of the black plastic and some grey T-cut for the painted handles. :D



One thing I noticed was that according to the fade line (look closely above) the bars had spent a very long time a whole 12mm to the left! :shock:
They’re Bob on now of course… :cool:

The original pair of Tioga Psycho tyres are cool but not fit for my lad to ride on, so they’ll end up gracing something destined for a wall hanger…. :cool:
A tidy set of Factory 1:95’s will fit the bill quite nicely. ;)



Just need to add Vince and his chums hopefully tomorrow morning… :D

Another tip from Mrs Hinch......

If you have a nice set of perfectly working, period correct outers that unfortunately just look a little dull after 27 years of neglect, fire up your heat gun and heat polish them... easy peasy and the results speak for themselves. ;)
But be careful, you don’t want to get too close :shock:
