Deore Cantilevers too high for my 26" rims?

Just remember when in motion the application of lever to rear brake will induce

A: the rear stays to twist in the direction of the wheel rotation forcing the pad into the rim

B: excessive flatulence, maybe even cloth touching as braking fails to exhibit the required results despite white knuckles and screaming

Or for mahoosive power which will bend the seatstays everytime you apply the brakes you could put on some Onza HO long cantilevers. The carrier for the blocks moves up and down (see viewtopic.php?f=3&t=83369) and you can avoid having the blocks at weird angles. Put on a brake booster and that would solve the seat stay bending issue - and that means that for the first time ever, a Ranger can stop in a sensible distance.

Thanks, all that might be a little out of place on a 92 Dawes MTB though. Might have to switch to some V brakes perhaps.
