23" R O Harrison c. Early 50s

Dirt Disciple
Here we have my early ‘50s RO Harrison that came to me after the original owner passed away. I was told by his son that his father told him he bought it in 1952/3.
It seems fairly original and is in rideable condition.

I had a new chain, NOS Maillard freewheel, slick stainless inner brake cables and NOS rat trap pedals fitted by my LBS not many miles ago (If I remember correctly this cost about £80).

Although not a show winner by any means the bike remains quite smart. A good example of a hand built British lightweight from their golden age that can be ridden, enjoyed and improved.

It has the following period components:

Nicely engraved alloy bars

G.B. Kromo stem

G.B. Sport brakes

Williams chainset

Campagnolo shifter

Dunlop Special Lightweight rims on Bayliss Wiley large Flange Hubs (Flip flop)

Original leather saddle

I am looking for offers around the £350 mark as I have a Hetchins that I want to get restored this winter.
