To me XT is 'the Pinnacle'. I mean, I know it's not, but I would never run XTR and have never really wanted to. So this just looks like a purposeful machine to me now.

But let's have a chat about those bar ends. Do you really ride with them at that angle? :?

Actually, I do ride them at this angle on all of my bikes: when standing, I prefer to take the sides of the handlebars/bar ends and while climbing, I tend to lay my hands more or less flat on the bar ends.
What's your bar and style/preference then, if I may ask.. ;) ?

When I use bar ends they angle up slightly, probably about the same angle as your stem. With yours set flat they look like they would force the wrists into an unnatural position. Kind of ouchy looking! :shock: But if it works for you, that's what counts. ;)
