Carrera Podium Columbus Genius 1993ish anyone?

Old School Hero
Got this rare-ish frame/forks earlier this year & have built it up with Campag Veloce/Chorus components.
Has a Columbus Genius frame which is quite light & impressive: )
Would have added an image, but I've given up after many fruitless attempts.

First my pic was too big.
Then, when I reduce the size to 472KB, it's still too many pixels. This is what RB told me when I tried to upload my pics.
If that make sense to anyone? So no pics here.
Won't be bothering again... (Be sad to leave RB after 10+ years, but that's 'progress' these days. Just like Brexit?)
Check Bikeforums.net for the way to go. User friendly & intuitive.

If you'd like to see it all in proper size pics you can check my Podium blog here:
https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogI ... c=postname

I'm looking for info on these early Carrera Podiums, if anyone can help?
The company does not answer queries about their history, so I'm just trying here: )
Carreras in UK are always assumed to be Halfrauds products unfortunately...

It wont let me view the blogger page for some reason, even when I log in.

When loading photos on here just use a photo hosting site like flickr.com or the google photos even. I think that's what most people do as the standard is too small. Do you use an image hosting for your blog? I use flickr.com for mine and just link the same photos here.
Look forward to seeing the Carrera regardless.

Or, if you don't want to use a photo hosting site, do what I do - simply open my photos in MS Paint, hit 'Resize' and reduce to 30%. If that hasn't got the pics down to size, reduce by another 10%. Takes 45 seconds.

Carrera Podium founded 1989 by Davide Boifava, his brother Francesco and Luciano Bracchi in Lombardy in the Area of Brescia.

The first Carrera bike was the green one, which used Davides Team Carrera from 1889 instead the Battaglin bikes, in 1990 they
used the Carrera build out of Columbus extra EL leggeri tube. they were white with Italian tricolor, later in 1994 the changed to the
white with the eagle style … I had both of them, the green one is missing and the later red-white-blue Carrera of Carrera-Asics Team,
which used Michele Bartoli to repeat to win the Doyenne in 1997.

hier the Carrera Podium bikes
the green on with Claudio Chiappucchi in 1989

here the white livery with the Italian tricalore, it belongs to me

and here the white livery with the blue Eagle style design, it also belongs to me too - seller told to me it has been a real teambike of Carrera-Tassoni

and finally the red-white-blue Carrera of Team Carrera-Asics in 1997 I am still looking for

Sorry guys I've just got my email address working again, after a glitch in November last year, & just discovered the email from RB today!

Well, I just try to 'upload' a 475KB photo as an attachment...

I tried the link from this RB thread above & it works for me.

Hi, can I ask, do you still own his bike or did you sell it? Thanks
