Claud Butler Shaman Silver DofE project finished pg11

Re:

Nice to see it got a proper inspection

Not sure on the official Adjudicators beard ring - what’s going on with that :shock: is it so he can be led out of the pub by a rope at closing time when he gets a bit cantankerous!

Re: Father & Daughter Claud Butler Shaman Silver DofE project

So Miss Peachy eventually returned from shopping in time to finish the build, but not before the sun went down, so we think final photo shoot can wait for a few days, when we take it for a proper shake down at Dalby Forest…..

But to whet your appetite, here are a last few detail photos;

The PD-M550’s came up fine with a little TLC.

A tidy pair of Black LX QR’s arrived in the post, just needed a quick wash & brush-up….

SRAM 7/8 speed chain running smoothly, indexing sorted.

I do love a DF-M730 Shark Fin chain guard……

New retro-style bottle, little bit of heat shrink protection for the gear cables & to help prevent frame slapping marks.

Some heat shrink over the V-brake noodles, not just cosmetic, but to help with water ingress.

And final weigh-in at 12.57Kg or just over 27 & ¼ lb (I think) Heavy by modern standards of course but still over 5lb lighter than the original 32 & ½ lb
