I picked up this '95 Lava Dome yesterday after spotting it for sale locally.
When I went to see it I near enough bit the sellers hand off  it looks to be 100% original and virtually spotless. I'm actually building a green '94 Lava Dome at the moment, but I think I'll abandon that and keep hold of this instead!! :D.
It's not a colour I was familiar with, but I really like the classy understated look of it.
The seller said he'd bought it from new, used it a couple of times, and it's been stored in his garage ever since. Amazing

Anyway, here's a few photos...

Re:

My BIL has that model, but his is thrashed. I love that colour as well. That looks virtually brand new. Wow. Nice find.

cool but get rid of those pesky pedal reflectors!

No. They add to the OEM-ness of the bike

You might have noticed a cable tie around the front canti hanger? Looks like the front reflector bracket is too short, or it's broken off, as there's no bolt on the rear of the forks to hold it in place. I'll ditch the reflector and find a suitable bolt to keep the canti hanger in place....

Hi jimo746.

Love these histories and feel nostalgic about the time when I got mine '95 Lava Dome.

I'm from Brazil and this bike came with another canti brakes and I notice that yours look like Shimano ones.

One question: is your bike a "made in Taiwan" version? I guess all '95 Lava Domes were manufactured there.

regards

Re:

Yes I assume it was a made in Taiwan frameset.
Unfortunately for me the bike was just a bit too big for me, and I really didn't want to swap out bars, stem etc as the bike was so original.
I imagine it's sat in someone else's garage right now and brought out for sunny Sunday rides (or else it was split down and sold off :( ).
