Geoffrey Butler Frame and Forks - needs paint

Old School Hero
Hi,

I am selling my Geoffrey Butler frame and fork

It is a nice light racing frame well built but needs painting

Have been told it is probably Reynolds 531 and could be a Cliff Shrubb build as the wrap around seat stays do not meet in the centre, however I don't know how this could be verified

CtC Dimensions are...

Top Tube 55cm
Seat Tube 52cm
Down tube 60cm
Wheelbase 101cm

Dropouts are Campagnolo

Frame is lugged with brazed on...

bottle bosses on down tube
lever bosses on down tube
cable guides on top tube
rear mech cable guide on underside of chain stay

Pictures below

Asking £100 ovno plus postage or you can collect from West Sussex

I am pretty sure it is not a Shrubb, almost certainly a bought-in trade frame - do you have a frame number (pic) ?

Hi Rk,
That is the problem as I cannot find a frame number but is a nicely built frame

Cheers

It's an ok built frame but not a Shrubb, frame number will be in the usual places - steerer, bb, rear drop out...I'm sure you know where to look.
