hi i'm new just thought i would say hi

spend a bit of time on other forums, namely reading stw and the retro hatefest that is uk-mtb

anyway
my name is Matt, i live in west yorkshire (thornhill), and i can sometimes be found on a 1990 cannondale (not too sure of the model, but it is the one with the 1" headset) which i have converted to singlespeed

i have to say it is a more rewarding ride than many of my other bikes

Yes, uk-mtb is a retro hatefest!

I popped in as a friend and member on here is admin on there...... and I popped out again. They DONT do retro do they!

Hi Matt,

seems like old Cannondales are really more rewarding. It is pretty difficult to ride a bike upside down. Modern bikes are often free of this fault of early-days ones.

Anyway, keep on trying!
