R.O Harrison . Age Required . Challenge

Hi all I've recently just acquired a lovely R.O Harrison cycle which will join my collection for years I'm struggling to find the age for it I've looked on classic light weights and can't work out the age and was wondering if anyone can help me with the age as the decals I've never seen before

Hope someone can help me work it out please need help for its restoration .

Assuming your serial number reads 496214 and looking at Classic Lightweights, then I assume it means that your frame was built in April 1949. Could be totally wrong I suppose, but 1949 looks about right from the pics?

I would have thought 1949 a bit early for nervex pro lugs, Widely used from mid 50s to early 60s.

Hi, as Keith points out the Nervex lugs point to later, I believe the first digit is the month and the second is the year, therefore April 1959, this must of been one of the last, its the oldest one I've seen. Terry
