Here's an odd one for the list;

Frame number 004225, places it definatly post the summer of 1976 and likely early 1977, but not advertised that late.......

Would this not just be taken at face value, one of the last Olympics? its in the 1976 cat. and the late 76 cat is also possibly early 77. The date predictions could also still be a bit out for that period anyway. There are a couple of other Olympics with 6D numbers, one is the first on the list, 000017, and the other latter still, 007496. Its was a popular bike in the 70's from my recollection, may be they kept building the to meet demand.

Production was meant to be around 3500/yr at the time and depending when the 6D numbers actually started determines where these are placed. Current predictions has production higher than this so however you look at it 007496 would be built in 77.

Hello All, I've had a very nice grey framed bike for near twenty years now and it's history eludes me. I bought it in Holland 2nd hand from a dealer and have ridden it on and off ever since. Although is has large Campagnolo frame stencils, it clearly is not of their making! The entire group set is 1st or 2nd generation Shimano 105 and is still amazing to this day. Now the weird bit. The forward down tube is ovalised where it meet the bottom bracket. I've hear this may be a Holdsworth trait. Also, on the rear wheel mounts, there are screws to help align the wheel. All a bit impressive. I've attached a photo of the bottom bracket to help pin down it's history. Any one able to suggest a year of manufacture and frame model/name? Any other thoughts or comments welcomed.
