Forgot to say - like the Bob Jackson! And your Dave Russell too.

Thanks for that. The JRJ moved around a lot! I sold it, bought it back, re-sold it, got it back and then sold it again. I think it eventually just wore out!

The Dave Russell I intend to use next season in the 'Old Skool' time trial series if possible.

As we are discussing Road/Path frames, how about this one for a bit of variety!

Here are some lousy cameraphone pictures of mine.

Thanks Ned.

The stem's a GB 531 - the bars and brake are also GB. Most of the running gear is 1970s Campag Record, pedals are TA, and the saddle's a repro B17 Swallow made by the chap who used to do repairs for Brooks.

The gear's 44:15 - a bit higher than I normally ride.

I was hoping to treat her to a trip home to Derby for a proper refurb for her 50th, but life got in the way. I'd also planned to collect some more period-correct (and British) parts for the rebuild, but with the prices of nice 1950s gear these day, that may have to wait for the lottery win.

Joining this thread very late, but I've just completed the rebuild of a 1954 Mercian, frame number 23254, model unknown. One small correction to an earlier comment: the oval stamp on the bottom bracket shell isn't RGP, it's RGF. Stands for Raccord Gargette Freres, a French maker of bottom bracket shells which were popular with lightweight specialists. Both my Johnny Berry frames have RGF bottom bracket shells.
