Why last bike you'll build?

I will be moving to work abroad, so unfortunately I am selling most the bikes and parts. I'm still toying with the idea of trying to take one with me, but it might be a bit tricky.

Re:

Looks super cool!
Love it!

It was an 853 frame afterall?
I have a MTrax 350 Elite and that had an E Type BB mounted front mech.

I’m currently building a ‘99 RSP 400 with full suspension - nicked some ideas off of you - has Magura o24u fork, Magura HS33 in yellow/Black (old ones) and Mavic Cross with yellow hubs and black spokes/ rims

Thank you.

Yes, it's 853 as far as I can tell - maybe they made some for e-type mechs and some for conventional? I'm not sure.

Do you have a build thread for your 400?

I've only ridden this once and it's currently up for sale, given I have to reduce the number of bikes/parts greatly before they go into storage. I still might pull it from sale and hope to sell others instead though. If it doesn't sell in the next couple of weeks I will hopefully be able to give it a better test on the North York Moors: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=393984

Re:

A damn Shane you’ll be selling it
It looks as if it were built up with care and respect
If you decide to split I would love the cranks !
I wish you’d keep it though - it’s far too big for me - I think I had a chance to buy this frame from you a good while back (correct me if I’m wrong)
I haven’t a build for the RSP 400 yet - but here she is - without the M950 bits, the new wheels and Maguras HS33.

That's looking great, I think those forks really suit the frame. I'm sure with the new bits it's looking even better.

Yes, I am still very tempted to keep it. It's hard to split when you've spent so long building it up, but given how much interest I've had in just the frame it's an option. Even on my Ebay listing I've offered a good discount if anyone wants it without the cranks ...... because I want to keep them myself! I suppose I could change the build a bit and list it at a cheaper price - I'd probably keep the stem .... and shifter ..... this would be the problem with splitting, I would end up keeping most of it.

Yes the parts are really nice - and the frame is very very rare - it’s easier to find a Titanium Raleigh frame than an 853 and the Reynolds Optima one I have - I think Raleigh did some made to order RSP frames in 1997 - yours maybe the 853 order - here’s the catalogue
