Holdsworth Mistral 1950s

Retro Newbie
For sale

I have had this frame for 6-7 years and have built it in what I think is a fairly sympathetic if not period correct fashion.

It's as far as I know a 1950s Holdsworth Cyclone built to custom spec as it doesn't exactly match the catalogs and appears to fall between the Cyclone and Cylone Deluxe. I bought it from a chap I know who had bought it from an old gent who had it from new but had stored it in his loft following a repaint in the late 1970s.

Its a 57cm square and fits me fantastically at 6ft tall.

Frame - Holdsworth Cyclone
Wheelset Campagnolo Record hubs , Wolber 27 in rims with lovely Clement Tyres from the 70s unfortunately the front is a bit perished and isn't really ride-able. I replaced the original bearings and repacked with decent grease.
Cranks - Sakae campag copy
Pedals - Gipiemme
Dicta free wheel
Saddle - Brooks b17
Bars - Nitto with cloth tape
Stem and seatpost - Sakae
Brakes - Mafac racer , Mafac levers and Koolstop pads.

Its an old bike and I have ridden it a bit so it has some marks and scratches, the paint is beautiful though. the drive side drop out has been repaired but not repainted, it is strong and has been ridden since the repair.

I think this is a great bike and I'm sad to sell it but with some work it could be a beautiful Sunday cruiser.

I'd like £200 + postage (it's in Nottingham)

Cheers
