Topline crank issues, can anyone help sil vous plait?

Re:

Just quickly as I head out the door.... I have on file that these should be 7.1mm spacers.

Chainline should be what dictates BB length though, with 47.5mm-50mm to the face of the middle ring to the seat tube centreline.

Could be the chain hooking up on the middle chainring bolts though, if the middle ring doesn't have counterbores for the heads? Seen that before....
Antichainsuckthings could be your friend too....

Go stredy on the toplines, they can be Manitouesque in some senses!

Re:

Thanks Nick,

You are indeed correct that the chain was catching on the backs of the chainring bolts, I had some of the 7mm-ish(!) spacers in my box of bits which rectified the matter.

Will measure chainring spacing later today, the arms are frighteningly close to the stays mind.

Thanks for the heads up regarding possible Manitou/Kooka moments with the Toplines. The Yeti in question will not be being ridden with any aggression, it will be enjoying a more sedate retirement.

(The Metalhead however will be being ragged within an inch of its life)
