'69 Claud Butler Corridore Project

Once I've finished paint stripping the frame, just got chainstays left to do, and inspected it properly, the plan is to throw some components on it and see how I like it to ride. It's 21 1/2" frame which is at the top end for me at 5'6", and with the very generous clearances it's a very tall 21 1/2". I want to be sure before I put more time and money into the restoration. If it's too big I'll sell it on.

First dibs please.... :D

Re:

Update for peops following this thread.
I started doing a dry assembly on the Corridore to try it for size and it seems that like mars bars, inches were much bigger in the 50's :|
The stand over height with 700's was giving me a serious wedgie and I imagine that with 27's it would be worse.
So I passed this frame over to Peachy Chris at a dodgy truck stop on the A303 in exchange for some small objects of desire, and I'm sure it will be restored to a much better standard than I would have taken it too.
Looking forward to following the build!

Update... after a quick vapour blast, bake, then a wiff over with a base white coat this Corridor was destined to spend a few years hanging at the back of the queue. Because I also did a dry build with a pair of 27” wheels, a tall post and saddle, but with my 34” inside leg it was going to be too much of a test for my back.

Then a few days ago KingBling was telling me his difficulties in getting a descent old frame in 21”, he had a nice Claud Butler Italia frame set from 1980 but at 23” just that bit too high.,,,,

The swap was on!

So after a first swap down in the South West, to a swap at Scotch Corner, this frames done a few miles this year!

Such a sweet frame, I'm sure it will search out the right custodian!
Please do a build thread KingBling.
