How can 104 miles be 3 hours driving away??

I'll try but pencil me in very very lightly, use a 9H pencil.

Because London's in the way! It's only 50 miles from me - but an estimated 2 hours by car. Realistically probably more like 3 hours on the way back once the traffic's built up.

I checked the train...3 plus hours.

Put my name down using the same pencil. :|

I should be there. Go easy on me....not used to hills in East Anglia!

I should be able to make this.

Note these places fill up quickly, so best arrive early.

Do I need a tent? :D
How early Mike?

Re:

Weeeeell, I’m aiming to get there 9:30.

Has anyone got a matching pair of pre-Parralax 7 speed wheels they’d swap for:

32 hole STX Rear on Mavic 717 silver or

28 hole XTR M950 rear on Mavic 717 black

Cheers.

Re:

So, as predicted, looks like it will rain. Excellent.

I'll be in that carpark before 10. Middle-aged bloke, old Marin Bear Valley, blue Volvo, rush goalie, jumpers for goal posts, lovely.

Will hang on a bit for stragglers but post up here if late and we'll find a place to meet.

Cheers,
Sam.

Rain- typical! Was hoping it might blow through. Just getting it here in the east.

I would recommend a different bike if you've got one. This area is very sandy and as its wet it will destroy the bearings on the AMP in no time at all. I've got an AMP suspended bike and I only wheel it out in this area in the dry. The plus side is that it drains well up there.

Can't decide what bike to ride at the moment? See you all in the morning anyway.
