Mom's Merida (1993 Boston)

Dirt Disciple
Mom usually rides her hybrid flatbar roadie to work, but when the weather gets bad she uses a 26" aluminum city MTB something bike, which isn't her size, looks ugly and weighs a ton. Time to change that.

So I had this Merida frame laying around for a few months, wanted to make it a drop bar monstercross machine, but in the end another frame became that project.

The components will be the following:
XT 730 hubs, crankset, rear derailleur
Wolber AT-18 rims
DX M650 front derailleur
Random Shimano 3x7 V-brake STIs
Random Trinity V-brakes (shall be changed once I find a nice local deal for some quality ones)
Zoggie threadless adapter, random aluminum stem with a random 580 mm long aluminum handlebar

Getting there.

All I need are some cables and a seatpost, and the latter has been ordered already—and of course some free time, which I have next to zero atm.
