Bought some Evapo Rust after a recommendation from Big Block forum member.
This recommendation was based around how evaporust was a simple way of removing rust and non abrasive on the components concerned.
In my experience evaporust is a superb product and well worth purchasing as it's very easy to use use and gives great results.

Mechanical rust removal on that Simplex plate would likely have seen the remaining text abraded.
Just make sure you use a wax or the oily rag to provide a thin film. The choice will depend on the part.
