Hello, hello!

I thought I'd post some pics of my bikes. There's bit of a steel theme here. I love the stuff. There's nothing like the craftsmanship of a hand brazed steel frame whether it's lugged or fillet brazed. I don't think you can call anything here retro, it was certainly never intended to be, I've just built/bought the sort of bikes that I love to ride. Any who, enjoy!

Anymore on the GB audax? Looks good, what type of tubes is it built with? Can't beat a bit o bodge fixed wheel either :D

Hi Kaiser,

No more news on the Geoffrey Butler I'm afraid. It's a mystery. Cliff Shrubb used to build for them (as well as Sean Yates' Olympic Games track frame) unfortunately this isn't one of his, I've asked the guy. The story I was told by the guys in the shop when I bought it was that it was a prototype tourer frame they commissioned a while back that never went into production. It kicked around the shop for ages and no one can remember any more about it. I've been shopping there for years and have no reason to doubt them. The lugs are clean and very simple, it's not the lightest tubed frame out there but it rides very well.

Cliff Shrubb also built this frame:

The man is an absolute legend!

I've been eyeing up your GT Kommuter for inspiration as the Timberline urgently needs to be re-commissioned for getting to work duties. The paint is in a bad way, do I go for the splatter finish or just the one colour? I'm keen to build up a nice looking bike rather than just bodge it together!

Tinkety tonk!
