1954 Claud Butler Jubilee Special #5412 8509

Cheers Kermit,
Whilst waiting for the hub to come back, I’ve completely striped the Jubilee of everything, because I want to cut the last coat of lacquer back and then apply one more coat, as she was a bit rushed.
Now she’s won RBotM I want her to be a real show stopper in the flesh as well….

Got my Jubilee back today, it’s been back at Bob Jacksons as I wasn’t happy with how some of the decals behaved after being lacquered. The problem was the decals had large areas of clear between the text.
The Donald recommended I ask Steve at Lloyd cycles to “contour cut” the decals again.
BJ’s then stripped the previous decals off and resprayed over the new decals FOC.
Great service, and check out the close ups

That looks really lovely. The colour looks great and the decals look pretty good now. Full shots please :)

Cheers Jamie, yes I’m very pleased. I’m itching to get the restored 4 speed Sturmey back on, but this probably won’t happen till next weekend. Lots of running around after the kids this weekend.

That’s a nice colour. Looks familiar

Yup, Overburys Connoisseur tourer inspired Green.

Saw a frame hanging today in Bob Jacksons with the same pattern as your Overbury, except it was a combo of mint green and chocolate brown
I asked why? Donald said it was for the States... oh our American cousins!
