Is that a Fat Chance (aqua?) on their Killer Loop in the Peaks? Or am I getting a little over excited ?!

Nah- it's some modern Giant thing.
Funny how that's classed as a killer loop nowadays. It was our regular Sunday run out in my youth, me on my Tufftrax and the guys on various Mustangs, Claud Butlers and Ridgebacks. We used to send the oldest looking into the Ladybower pub and bring beer out
Almost was a Killer for us one day, it was December, the moor was ice from start to finish and we got caught out up there with no lights, no extra clothing and no one knew where we were. We walked out alive in the early hours as it started to snow but were seriously shaken up, Andy, my mate ended up in hospital with hypothermia and severe dehydration. It gets so dark up there and navigation is imposible. It took what felt like a lifetime to walk off the moor and I don't think we ever went back up.
