Cheers, see you also have an F8, have you any idea on correct BB axle length for an F8 frame running Middleburn RS7 cranks?

The RS3 according to my Pace owners manual takes a 107mm bottom bracket. The RS7 Cranks basically are an updated version of the RS3 - middleburn redesigned the spider attachments from tiny bolts on the 3 to the lock ring on the 7.

I ran RS3s on my RC300 for some years but swapped over to Isis Turbines in an attempt to cure the usual Pace BB creak.

Yeah, which version manual was that from though, the F6 ?

Same manual is available online and has following listed:

2002 RC300 which identical to the rc200f8, but a bit better

So should be fine with 115mm then, at end if day a little extra clearance isn't going to hurt.

Forks fully serviced and have now arrived, final few parts now sourced (I think), just waiting for shifters and tyres to arrive then it's on with the build whilst I am away with work for three weeks, final spec should end up like this:

Frame: RC200F8 2004
Forks: 2006 RC39
Headset: Hope 1 1/8" aheadset in black
Stem: Pace RC45 100mm in black with King top-cap & ti bolt
Bars/Ends: Easton carbon Monkey Lite bars with X-Lite Stubby Pro ends in black
Saddle: Flite titanium (1995 original)
Seatpost: Syncros (original) alloy inline 425mm in black
Brakes: Hope Mini with 180/160mm discs (in black)
Shifters: XTR M970 with ti bolts
Front mech: XTR M960 bottom-pull
Rear mech: XTR M952 long-cage
Cassette: XTR M970 9 spd
Chainset: Middleburn RS7 with 22t/32t/44t Middleburn XTR hardcoat rings
Bottom bracket: Royce titanium 115mm
Pedals: Victor VP102 SPD in silver
Rims: WTB Speed disc in black
Hubs: Hope Pro2 in black
Skewers: Hope alloy with ti axles
Tyres: Brand-new Panaracer Dart/Smoke skinwall/black
Grips: Ritchey Truegrip WCS in black
Others: SRP crank-bolts/rear-mech hanger bolt

There will be couple more bits left over from the build (other than what I have already listed on the >1998 section) which I will list in due course once she is collected. Separate insurance policy also sorted.

Can't wait tbh !

Re: TheBear's 2002 RC200F8 build thread (now with frame pics)

So the build started yesterday....all pics too big to post apparently

Small update, Middleburn spider didn't fit the cranks so have had to source a brand-new one (with great difficulty in black) and the Hope headset annoyingly didn't include a bottom crown-race for some reason  ....in other news I have decided to upgrade and reactivate my 1995 Cannondale m500 as another project

£300 for a new RC39 crown/steerer/stanchions combo (if Pace have parts that is)....time to look for a new fork methinks

Re: Problems Also Cracks Express's

Chop the short forks in, for something else, or get a donor pair/wanted add on here?
I gave I think, under £60 delivered for the last 39 xc's from eBay. (Currently me F8's on rc31's).

Keep Persevering! Took me 4 years and 4 bikes to find a non busted RC200.
I can confirm that P.A.C.E 200's are worth it, in an old school style.
