1991 Marin Pine Mountain Build

Nope, to be correct they media-blasted it and said they were very careful. In the beginning it looked totally grey but I guess the 3 coats of clear coat added some tint.

I'm thinking of doing the same for my new project the 1996 Trek 8000 I posted here about

After a lot of sanding and prep work, I've had the frame, forks bars and stem powdercoated. I wanted a tough finish as I intend to use this bike.

I may still topcoat the powdercoat with textured grey paint I have, can't decide as I like the powdercoat finish.

Still a couple of parts to source and get the decals ordered.

The Pine Mountain will look great in powdercoat only I think.

Finally got some time during the snow to get this assembled.

Will hopefully get a daylight picture and out to try it at the weekend but for now the end of a long haul......

Re:

Thanks for the comments. I'm pleased with how its ended up. Got a bright orange saddle coming. Will see if it matches.
