With this number of people coming I'd guess one of the car parks would be the best bet – you can only fit a couple of cars in those usefully hidden away places.
Could I, perhaps, suggest Lydeard Hill car park?

It's at the Taunton end and reasonably easily accessible from any direction people may be coming from.
This puts you on the ridge top and you're on tracks straight out of the gate.
