I always believed it was a record, but not really sure now. I thought super record had always holes to make it lighter but also heard there were some Ti super record pre-9 speeds quite similar to record ones... And this only has 6 coggs in Ti... What's your opinion ? It was mounted on a early Shamal with 16 spokes, and I'd bet that was the original one. Any campy expert that can give his opinion please ?

Hi,
I'm not an expert but one sure:
It isn't a 1. gen (pre-exa) Record cassette. Neither these nor the Light Alloy (pre-exa) 8 spd. had small holes.
I know in the first years (pre-exa era) Record and Chorus 8 spd. agreed. There was also a 7-speed version that was given standard to Athena and at the Chorus was an option next to the 8 spd.

Yeah, that sounds like an exa drive steel 7&8 and rest titanium mix. Due to the asymmetric holes in smaller gears are titanium. I guess you're not the first owner and the past 20 years, so much has to do with it...

I honestly say with exa-drive Super Record (light alloy) cassette, I've only met in Campa catalogs.
To the 7&8 cogs: In the exa era I think their weight could be used to distinguish, for example, a Record from a Veloce. Small holes were on all types in this era.
