I have just put my entry in for the IoM sportive, this will be my third time and on this occasion I will have my son with me.

As he has not been to Mull in over 20 years it should be quite a week.

I will most likely be on the Rourke again, but that is by no means set in stone, whatever I am riding it will be steel and hand built, my son too.

Fingers crossed for dry, but not at hot as two years ago when the average was 23 degrees C, nice for some, a wee bit warm for me.

Re:

Hope you both have a great time there, Neil!

I need a road ride to look forward to next year.

Re:

Thanks Mike.

I have just booked the ferry and the accommodation was booked a few weeks ago. It will be different having Jon with me, we've not done anything like this before.

I need to start some proper training.... in the New Year.

I hope to get out on Thursday, when the weather forecast predicts 6 to 8 MPH winds, which is more to my liking than the 20 MPH plus winds they are predicting for tomorrow!

No it is just a one day event, but I stay for the week, visit my grandparents grave, and generally enjoy being on holiday on Mull.
