Retro Newbie
My nephew introduced me to this forum, he is racing for "Team Pivot Boompods" at the moment I used to race in the 90's, Pace Research RC and Orange E3.
Just putting two of the E3's together to ride again, might consider selling once I have them perfect.
Cheers,
Tim :D

I wonder if this problem has something to do with seat post fitment?
Something must be inducing the metal fatigue to cause cracking/ failure.
Neither my original E3, not my Nephew's Xlite team bike has suffered any problems.
They both have Xlite seat tubes in and have been used for racing/ training and so have not had the seat posts adjusted or adapted for other use than cross country.

I wonder if repeated adjustment or ill-fitting seat posts contribute to this fatigue?

Thanks for the comment.
Tim
