Well due to the stunning weather and low numbers we decided on a little bit of a route alteration and meandered our way up Beadlam Rigg and round the top end of Cockayne up to Bloworth Crossing which could only mean one thing , dinner at the Lion and a couple of pints , mmm 3 oclock and we are still in the pub , better get a move on and head back , much to my surprise I even showed the locals a couple of new bits of singletrack through the woods on the way back before a quick stop to admire St Gregory's church and the last couple of miles back to the camp .
Great day out if hard work (next time Matthew check the distances before changing the route , 38 miles is not a good idea on a new and untested bike , it held out admirably apart from 1 reoccurring gear change glitch ) but I'm afraid I took no piccies due to keeping up with Luke, Si and Paul .
Don't use DH tyres on long dry XC routes either !!.
