one of the wheels on my car has a flat spot. Previous owner obviously hit a pot hole quite hard!

The wheel is balanced fine and the car drives ok. Would be good to get the wheel sorted though. Anyone used one of these places which claims to be able to remove flat spots? Any good??

Alum or steel?

The steel ones press out easily. The alum ones are prone to cracking if not careful, then need welding, still no problem.

Take photos for before and after documentation, just in case they butcher it.

my mum has had 1 of her alloys done by a specialist place around where we live, got the flat spot out wasnt exactly that cheap tho.

Alloy wheel. Might just be cheaper to pick one up from the dealers or ebay.

John, try a specialist breaker if it's a standard wheel. Pos cheaper than ebay.

good point, will ring round. Nothing extra special but there is such variation these days....

had the same.
In euro it cost me 50 euro to get it out,..but the replacement of the 20" tyre was more expensive ;)

Whats happening ref the bm alloy :?: Have you been sorted yet :?:

The bm alloy did finally reappear. Took almost 3 months but got there in the end.

The dinged wheel is off the other car. Only saw the problem when i got new tyres....
