I seem to remember lusting after a couple of pink/ blue anodised aluminium and carbon bonded (?) American bikes back in 1987/ 88 ish in Rayments Cycles in Brighton and I'm sure they were called Reflex. Seem to remember the decals looking similar to early 90's Parkpre or Orange Circa '93 (kind of long drawn out letters - quite square).

I can't find evidence of them anywhere, but I desperately wanted one back in the old days. Anyone got any pics?

that's them. Cor, I'd have loved one of those. I think the pink one I remember had even nicer graphics, very '87 etc.

Just noticed you're after an 18in u-brake Trekker. Ironically I bought one of those instead in '88 not being able to afford a Reflex and only just got rid of it. Aquarius blue with two XT u-brakes. Stil got the MBUK test of it actually.

thanks for the links.

they were canadian . peugeot used their frames for their racing line .

they were very nice and light .

 any chance you can scan that test ..............please, shame about you moving that trekker through,

would've had it off ya in a snap :(

sure. I seem to remember it was up against a Scott Boulder and an Overbury's Pioneer in yellow and blue fade.

I'll have a go tomorrow on the new fangled copier at work.

Almost bought a reflex back in 88 from Surf and Ski in Dorking. Think it was the pink and blue one you were talking about. only problem was it was 22" (as with all bikes in the 80's) and I'm only 5'7"

Near my home in frnace , there was a shop selling lots of them.

the top spec one had white tubes , and there was also one with blue tubes .

Since we don't seem to see many around , am I right in assuming they all came unglued like the dyna techs then ?

That was it - you're right, it was blue and pink, thanks for that Pete - (think I sold you a Pace 1in steerer tube once on stw). Surf and Ski. I remember them in Brighton (maybe the same bunch). So nearly bought an '88 Pine Mountain in there. Got the issue of Bicycle Action with the Marin Team riding those round Sussex in early '88 too.

I suppose they're all unglued then. Pity.
