Paint is called 'rattle can Flouro yellow' by a company called Halfords

Bit more to it than that though....
Firstly given a coat of acid etching primer, then 2 coats of high build primer, wet flatted with 1200 grade, 2 coats of white 2 pack, then 4 coats of the rattle can flouro, then clear powdercoat for toughness, flatted again with 1500, decals applied then 3 coats of two pack clearcoat to make em shine. 13 coats of paint in total. The pics don't do them justice- they look superb in the flesh.

Good work Si.

You want suntour or shimano though. Pace rings came a year or two later.

yeah, I didn't know that. Had a look at that review in the scans section and that bike had Biopace rings on it. I like Biopace II so i'm looking for a mint set now to go on it.

Nice work Dr S,

Been following this project since Andyl started it...is it ready for it's first outing yet?

Rich

Dr S, that bar isn't quite right for the vintage though is it? ;)

Nope, they are Renthal's as originally fitted.

IIRC I had to wait 2 months for my Renthal bars as they weren't ready with a final version - and this was in 92.
