Raleigh banana rescue.

Ret spotter

Dirt Disciple
Bought this raleigh banana frame for £5 from a local bootsale. Guy said he was scrapping it if not sold so saved it from certain death. Bolted on some old parts and serviced others and got myself a nice little commuter. Bearing in mind my commute has no hills its perfect. No rust or dents and everything's straight (ish). Running a single speed and rx100 brakes with shimano 600 pedals. Sorry no pics of before. :D

Re:

well rescued. had one myself a few years back and after a hefty refurbishment decided i didn't like riding it so sold it. still like them though and would love a 753 model

Looks in good original condition & a bargain for a fiver!

Just put your QR levers on the other non-drive side.........

Re:

Strangely nice to ride also. Simple but a killer on hills with the original crankset. Going to switch it out. Don't worry about it being stolen when I leave it chained up at work also so happy days :D

Nice save, but don't know if its just me or the angle but those forks look wrong in last pic, look like have been pushed back.

Re:

They are fine just the angle of the photo and that the bars are turned slightly... And I'm poor at taking a decent picture
