Recovered saddle

Very impressive.

I just bet if I tried, I'd make an absolute horse's 'arris out of it.

Topic kick:

In one of the other threads I saw an Ebay link to a shop that offers to recover your saddle but I cannot seem to find that specific shop. Does anyone else knows a shop that does this?

Maybe Gil could make up some kind of thickish reusable template which coloured dye or leather specific paint/dye whatever could be sponged onto for desired effect?

I'm looking into drawing up some artworks to be cut into sticky-back vinyl (I've got a friend with a laser cutter) - to be used as a stencil so I can paint some leather paint on then remove the stencil to leave the text......all a bit theoretical at the mo - some experimentation is in order. :)

That's what I did, I airbrushed two pack acrylic paint through the stencils it worked a treat !

Re:

love that stencil work

think it could do the trick on my recovered flites
until you look at the underside - they could pass for genuine

is it possible to get some of these stencils  :?: :?: :?:

Re:

Had a go at covering an old turbo saddle with some perforated leather.
Used 3M spray mount on top and some super glue (flexible) underneath. Nose was difficult, i had to thin out the leather there with sandpaper on the underside as it was about 1.2mm thick and wouldnt fold without puckering:

What did you guys use to do the stencils/logos?
