electric bike

a friend of mine wants to buy a high quality electric bike. i know nothing about these bikes so if anyone owns one or knows a quality brand it would be much appreciated

i had the miss fortune of working on electric bikes at a shop i used to work in, most of them were like boomerangs if you catch my drift but the only ones i didn't seem to get any problems with were the GIANT ones, also known as lafree. i prefer them also because the most common issue you are likely to get with any bike is a puncture and these bikes have the power going at the b/b area so removing wheels is no different to a normal bike. also, i notice that the giants are good bikes if the electrics weren't there where as if you strip the electrics off a powerbike it is an ultimate piece of crap!

Just make sure ye get one with a long enough flex...........15 or 20 miles should be enough.

i am trying to convince him not to be lasy and get a proper bike for 1400 quid, but he's fascinated by these bikes so at least i can try pointing him a good one out
