Could you do me a really big favour ? I noticed on you USE post there is a warning label inside - could you tell me what it says ? I have the same post and dont want to do something wrong ...

Cheers,

WD :D

IIRC (having just installed one on my Tempest) it reads 'do not overtighten bolts'.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm waiting on a set of '98 stickers to arrive for it, will post some more pics when they're on.

The frame is definately staying polished, the blue and red ones were nice but it has to be ball burnished for me.

I'll have a look at the warning sticker, it might state some torque values I guess but will probably just say 'don't over tighten' as Pickle suggests.

Thanks guys.

Manufactures quotes like that make me laugh - is tight 'wimpy' tight or 'rambo' tight ? So what is 'over' tight

I'll see if the pollisher is willing to take mail order work. Might be a problem shipping stuff back but I'll ask.

The USE warning sticker had something like 'Warning! Don't overtighten bolts. Tightening torque 7NM' (had the equivalent in imperial but can't remember)

Stickers have arrived and were applied last night. No pics as yet.
Sourced some black GT rigids from on here. Just need a suitable stem then I can start assembling it! Looking for a Kore or Control Tech stem, nothing longer than 120mm in black, yellow or red, 1 1/8".
