The build is perfect as it is. I didn´t even check the rest of the thread. XTR m900, syncros ti , ritchey fork.. the classic build for a merlin. There is nothing to better.

Just get other tires and ride it. Go w/ a 2.3 tire upfront. Ritchey fork is higher end than the Kona . I would go w/ megabite tires. 2.1 and 2.3.

I would look for a merlin ti hbar. That bike deserves a ti hbar.
