I brought mine in 1995, I presume they were early ones and did'nt realise they brought out a beefier version. I love the look of them, they are still my favorite looking crank. How do the LP's differ from the earlier items?

Difference? I do know they later are said to be more durable. Have no idea what makes them more durable.

To confuse matters, the ones I snapped looked like the later model with the shoulder machined around the top of the bottom bracket taper. :?
