Gday all,

After taking much longer than expected, she's finished.

Thanks to Mr Grumpy, Corduroyboy and Gil for helping me out with stuff.
Big thanks to Corey (cjn1014) for supply of the frame and trying so many options you wouldn't believe to get the frame shipped 'economically'.

No thanks to Australia Post for being jobsworths.

Build is a mix of what was lying around in the garage, stuff that works and modern that I've found I can't ride without (i.e. 2 way release shifters).

No, I've run them like that for years - big-big just works in an emergency, and you save all that extra chain weight!

Of course I never ride it in that gear :) not sure why it was in that gear!

The mech is a 950, but it's been in service on my commute  for the last 10 years, and has faded heaps

Black stem- my Sola has black stem/hbars, so I wanted something different from that, I agree it looks a bit odd in the side-on photo, but looks just right (to me) in the flesh.

And the ride, well it's amazing, went on a 30km singletrack blast at the weekend, I'd forgotten just how neutral Konas feel - rigids make for interesting riding on the rock gardens though.
