Images of an interview with Greg Fuquay from 1992, courtesy of darmtb who took the pictures (assume no scanner!). Hope you can read it OK.

I love the wise words on discussing how at the time suspension seemed to be the way things were going, yet Greg's take was: "Maybe what will happen is that everyone will have suspension bikes, which is how it is anyway in the world of racing, and someone's gonna turn up on a straightforward bike and beat the hell outa them on a machine weighing 21lb. Everyone will say 'Oh my God I've got to have one of those!' and the team riders will start to ride superlight rigid bikes again."

Back in the States as an aircraft technician I beleiev. Chipps is still in touch with him (and Crell too I believe has been in touch in the recent past).
