Fat Chance Shock-a-Billy, 1994

Hi! As a newbie, I'm very happy to join this nice Community!

Today i want to show you my somerville project completed some months ago. I is a 1994 Shock-a-Billy. I´ve bought the frame in very good condition, and it took several months to complete it. Everything works fine - the shock absorber, too. Most of the components are nearly mint - but now I ride it, whenever I can!

I´m not sure about the paintjob - it's not the colour composition from the catalogues. A friend of mine here in germany assumes it could be a custom paintjob - but we aren't sure.

BTW: I´m german - please be patient with my english - I'll give my best! :)
Here we go:

Nice greetings from germany
Christian :)

Beautiful Fat! What are the fork internals - Is that a Mag 21 or something else (like Quadra with Englund cartridges) ?

Hi! Yes, this is a regular Quadra 21, which i bought in NOS condition.
Best choice, of course, would be a color-matching fork. A friend of mine, he's a really fat chance' expert here in germany, told me that the frame left somerville with a matching fork with utmost probability. But the fork unfortunately got lost, so first I was looking for a mag 21. But I didn't find this fork in a appropiate condition, and became an offer for this NOS quadra 21.

So I built it it up with the quadra - and was surprised that it works in a good manner. The quadra 21 works great in combination with the rear shock absorber.

christian,
i see were going to get on just fine :D

Yes, I have a very early Titanium, 1992.
Actually I'm collecting parts for a time-correct building-up.
Here is some other nice US- and canada-stuff, too.

I got a déjà vu!

paint job: Sapphire Fade from back to front (custom option); they usually did it from the bottom up
