Jon is referring to the fact that after Edwardes cycles takeover in Feb 1963 batches of cheap gas pipe Carltons and later some Holdsworth Mistrals appeared in Gillott markings.To anybody with half a whit they are easy to spot as 'ringers' ALL Gillotts from 1958 onwards were built by Ron Cooper who's quality of craftsmanship makes a 'ringer' stand out.

It's hanging with my project frames at the moment. I would love to fully restore, but i am in the process of doing up a Victorian house that eats money. As soon as i have some free cash it's on top of my list to do.
