KHS Flite 800 (Reynolds 853)

Current road steed is a KHS Flite 800 frameset from the year 2000.
Reynolds 853 main tubes - I suspect the stays are nowt special. CF/Alu fork is stock, made by Advanced Composites (the parent company of Wound Up, I think).
I transferred most of the components from my old LeMond - Mavic Ksyrium Equipes, 105 5700 10spd group, SRAM Rival OCT chainset & BB, and Thomson bits.
Saddle is a NOS Selle Italia SLR Gel Flow from 2006, handlebar is Ritchey WCS Logic Curve with Cinelli Caleido tape.

Latest addition has been a pair of these. I wanted to try something a bit racier than Pasela PTs without going all-black.

 
The tyres are a hit. Put 85 hilly miles on them yesterday and they do feel significantly faster than my old Paselas.
Same Black Chili compound as GP 4000s, but more handsome. They handle gravel ok too.

I think handsome is the right word for the bike too, its the non compact geometry that does it for me.
 
i don't know if it's for the steel frame, for the stealth appeal, for the shimano with black sram crankset, for the thomson combo...or why
but i love this bike!!!
 
Another season, another full service and tyre change.
This time I've gone for Vittoria Corsa G+ 700x25s. Plush and really surprisingly fast. Lightweight Conti tubes inside might help a bit, who knows.
Cockpit has received an update too, the Thomson/Ritchey combo has made way for Zipp Service Course SL stem and SL70 bars.
New bar tape, chain, BB and Ultegra cables has it feeling like a new bike for summer :)
