1983(?) Raleigh Sirocco

Very cool build, interesting to read that a modern shimano 130mm rear wheel will fit a 23.5" 501 frame.

Do you think a 9 or 10 speed would fit on? I have a 8 speed on a 1990 23.5" raleigh 501 and it looks like more would fit? I will say mine has 130mm rear dropouts (but am reluctant to buy a modern wheelset and cassette in case it dont fit - my rear mech and chain are ready for 9-10 speed)
 
white turbo deffinately . wedgewood bone china had raised white detailing and its quite uncanny . the wheels are bold and so clean . your diy painting is to be commended .
my efforts include spraying spiders webs onto work+expecting paint to be dry leaving dirty finger prints!
i recently aquired a heat gun from a booty i will try that out one day.
