Very sad indeed. I was at the Bournemouth airshow that weekend, and there was a well observed pause to mark the tragic loss. At the time I didn't realise how close to home it was.
Only just found out this sad news. I only rode with him a couple of times, but found him to be welcoming and gentle. He also helped with parts for a project of mine. Thoughts today with his family, and with those of us who will miss him.
Met him once when he came up to the midlands on a retroroad ride. It happened to be on his old stomping ground and was really chuffed. Lovely fella, such sad news.
