Next Cool Wall victim/hero

Original Magura hydraulic brakes were cool to me and with all the emphasis on discs now, I reckon they still are.

Ringle skewers of course (purrrrrple)

Rolls saddle

Girvin flex stem (way cool for teenagers who couldn't afford Sus)

Manitou 1 - uber cool

Mavic ceramics

Gripshifts should NOT be included - ever. They are the work of Satan.

I used the first SRT-500's. I was really happy with them, I was the first one (from the ones I know) who used grip shift. I liked them, but after a while the sucked, now I only want Shimano.

Girvin flexstem... :) I had one too, in combination with a Quadra. LOL

But a girvin is still cool (to me)

What's all this gripshift knocking?

I love it, having started off with Campag Bulletshifters in 1990, I use gripshift now all the time. 2 main reasons: 1) I do a lot of winter riding and I find it hard to use finger levers with frozen hands, whereas no matter how cold you are you can always rotate your wrists 2) I'm forever rapping my knuckles on finger levers when doing technical trails and get bruises, I dont with gripshift

Bullet shifters were plain suicide surely?!

The theory is great but in my experiance they just don;t quite cut it.

Guess it's a personal thing eh?

Def not for me though! ( I have limp wrists )
